Firearm trial set for October

Severin, who is not in custody, faces nearly a dozen charges, including unsafe transport of a firearm, unauthorized transport of a firearm, and possession of a firearm with the serial number removed and obstruction of a police officer.

Red Deer City RCMP allege that a loaded .425-calibre handgun was found in his vehicle during a routine traffic stop on Monday, Jan. 2.

An additional charge in relation to the incident was laid on Tuesday morning, before Severin made his appearance, and will be included with the others when Severin goes to trial.
