Brayden Vander Leek, 17, is fitted for his Burger Blast restaurant hat by Tara Sampson, the Lindsay Thurber Comprehensive High School drama teacher, before a dress rehearsal of Footloose, the Musical, Wednesday. Vander Leek plays Ren McCormack, the Chicago teen who challenges a Texas town’s ban on public dancing and falls for a minister’s daughter in the process. Cast, crew and band premier their six months of work Feb. 4th when the show opens in the school’s drama studio at 7:30 p.m. Other performances go Feb. 5th, 6th, 10th, 11th, and 12th also at 7:30 p.m. with a matinee Feb. 7th at 2 p.m. Tickets are $15 available through Lindsay Thurber’s community program department.
