Four charged in Hobbema home invasion

Hobbema RCMP responded to the complaint of a home invasion on Saturday at around 5:13 a.m. on the Samson First Nation. Police were told the suspects had a firearm, but they fled before police arrived.

Hobbema RCMP responded to the complaint of a home invasion on Saturday at around 5:13 a.m. on the Samson First Nation. Police were told the suspects had a firearm, but they fled before police arrived. Police were given the description of the vehicle and direction it was travelling.

Police have charged Jamie Littlechild, 29, of Edmonton, Carrie Applegarth, 28, of Samson First Nation and Nicole Saddleback, 28, of Samson First Nation, with break and enter and assault with a weapon charges. Wayne Applegarth, 24, of Samson First Nation, was charged with break and enter, assault with a weapon and other charges.

The accused will appear in Wetaskiwin Provincial Court on Tuesday, May 11. Wayne Applegarth remains in custody and the other three suspects have been released.

Police believe this is a gang related incident.
