Glendale Express 24 hit by shoeless robber

Red Deer RCMP said they responded to a complaint just before 4 a.m. Thursday.

A lone male entered the store wearing a bandana over his face and brandishing a knife. The male, who took money and cigarettes, physically pushed the store employee during the robbery.

The employee did not suffer any injuries during the robbery.

The suspect was last seen departing the store on foot, and is described as approximately 1.8 metres (6 feet) tall, average build, wearing a blue bandana, dark pants and tuque, 3/4-length canvas jacket (possibly Carhartt brand) and only socks on his feet.
