The third-annual Gord Bamford charity golf tournament was once again a star-studded affair.
More than 20 celebrities stepped up to help Lacombe country music star Gord Bamford raise more than $230,000 for local charities.
Acclaimed country crooners like Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Dean Brody, Duane Steel, Jason Blaine, Patricia Conroy and Aaron Pritchett were among the headline performers at Thursday night's auction at the Lacombe Memorial Centre.
Several current and former NHLers were also on hand including former Oilers enforcer Dave Semenko and Calgary Flames forward Curtis Glencross.
Heavy wind and rain on Friday morning didn't discourage more than 40 golf teams from taking to the fairways at the Lacombe Golf and Country Club where local bidders had a chance to golf with a designated celebrity.
