Four Grade 5 students from Lacombe Upper Elementary School kicked off their spring break by delivering donations to charities in the city.
Khalel Abarro, Gavin Barnwell, Will Gillett and Leo Jackson collected raffle prizes and sold tickets around the school to support local charities.
Overall, they raised $440 and each chose one charity. Abarro decided to make a $110 donation to A Better World Canada – that donation will go towards new desks for classrooms in Kenya.
