Guns stolen from Red Deer store

An undisclosed number of guns were stolen from The Sportsmen’s Den in Red Deer Thursday evening.

An undisclosed number of guns were stolen from The Sportsmen’s Den in Red Deer Thursday evening.

At 9:15 p.m., Red Deer City RCMP responded to an alarm at the store, located at Bay 2, 7619 Gaetz Ave., and when they arrived at the scene they found a truck that was reported stolen in the city on Monday.

Suspects broke into the front of the building and two or three males were seen loading firearms into a small, two-door car, similar to a Plymouth Sundance.

The males were described as in their early 20s, one with short hair and another had shaggy hair.

Anyone with information on this crime, or anyone who saw any suspicious people in vehicles in the area prior to 9:15 p.m., are asked to call Red Deer City RCMP at 403-343-5575.
