Hockey for Hospice

Red Deer Hospice executive director Brenda Watts gives Red Deer County volunteer firefighter Darcy Johannson and Bombardiers Myron Bridge and Matthew Pylychaty of the 78th Field Battery a tour of the hospice this week. The trio were on hand to give the Red Deer Hospice Society $2,078.94, the proceeds from a charity hockey game between the field battery’s Warriors team and one of firefighters from the county and the city.

The trio were on hand to give the Red Deer Hospice Society $2,078.94, the proceeds from a charity hockey game between the field battery’s Warriors team and one of firefighters from the county and the city. Watts said the money represents about a week of the costs needed to run the 10-bed facility for the termially ill.
