Hockey for Hospice

Red Deer Hospice executive director Brenda Watts gives Red Deer County volunteer firefighter Darcy Johannson and Bombardiers Myron Bridge and Matthew Pylychaty of the 78th Field Battery a tour of the hospice this week. The trio were on hand to give the Red Deer Hospice Society $2,078.94, the proceeds from a charity hockey game between the field battery’s Warriors team and one of firefighters from the county and the city. Watts said the money represents about a week of the costs needed to run the 10-bed facility for the termially ill.
