Home invasion pleas reserved

Two men accused of a home invasion in Red Deer on Friday remain in custody awaiting their next court appearance.Rodney Irvine, 42, and Alexander Talbot, 20, reserved their pleas during their first court appearances, held on Monday in Red Deer provincial court.

Two men accused of a home invasion in Red Deer on Friday remain in custody awaiting their next court appearance.

Rodney Irvine, 42, and Alexander Talbot, 20, reserved their pleas during their first court appearances, held on Monday in Red Deer provincial court.

Irvine and Talbot are accused in relation to a incident in a home at 79th Street and 50th Avenue. Red Deer City RCMP allege that two men kicked in a door at about 4:15 a.m., entered the home and stole property and money from a person inside. Two suspects were arrested at the scene.

Irvine and Talbot are both charged with break and enter and robbery. Irvine is also charged with three counts of breaching conditions of a recognizance, including that he stay out of trouble, adhere to a curfew and not possess any weapons.

Both men return to court on Friday to enter their pleas.
