Investigation underway into crash involving motorcycle and RCMP vehicle

The collision between a motorcycle and a RCMP vehicle that happened at a Red Deer intersection on Tuesday afternoon is under investigation.

Red Deer RCMP reported officers were on the scene of the two-vehicle collision at Taylor Drive and 32nd Street at 3:10 p.m. on Tuesday, and that the motorcyclist had been transported to hospital.

Alberta RCMP Cpl. Lou Leroux said a collision analyst attended the scene, and their report may take a few weeks to complete depending on the complexity of the investigation.

The intersection was reopened to traffic 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
