Paul Hallman launches his kiteboarding kite on the west side soccer pitch at Red Deer College Wednesday. He says the large kite is easier to control in more wind than less since it’s not prone to dropping as it does in gusty conditions. The next few days likely won’t work for any kite flyers since Environment Canada calls for rain and a high of 14C Thursday with a northwest wind gusting up to 80 km/h. Friday the temperature is to drop to a more seasonal 5C, but the high winds will continue.
