Cowboy Dan, played by Gaylene Bobb, celebrates her victory and gestures to those gathered in courtroom 204 at the Red Deer Courthouse during a mock trial on Saturday. Bobb played the part of the defence attorney in the case of Casey the Cow vs. Old Macdonald and the case of the stolen cow bell. Although Cow Girl Jane, played by Suzanne Alexander-Smith, put up a good argument for the prosecution, the jury of children in the courtroom, played by several Boy Scouts, was not convinced Casey the Cow was guilty. The day also included courthouse tours and a lawyer on hand to answer questions. The Red Deer RCMP Dog unit and Bowden Institution dogs narcotics teams were there, and the RCMP rollover simulator was outside for demonstrations.
