Police have released a photograph of the man they are seeking in connection with an armed robbery Saturday at the West Park Liquor Store.

A man pulled a knife on a cashier at the liquor store at 3722 57 Avenue about 3 p.m. Saturday.

Red Deer City RCMP said the man took off with a bottle of alcohol and an undisclosed amount of money.

No one was hurt during the incident.

Police described the suspect as being around 40 years old, 1.8 metres (six foot two), clean shaven, very thin build, with dark brown hair and a red tattoo on his neck. He was wearing a light-coloured hoodie with horizontal stripes, black ball cap, jeans and runners at the time of the robbery.

West Park Liquor Store owner Kim Leasak said he sent the cashier who was robbed home after the incident, but he said she did everything right. He said it’s the first time in six years that they have had a robbery.
