An eight-year-old Red Deer girl may soon be the face of Gap.

Lynisha Geary, a Grade 3 student at Holy Family School in Red Deer smiled her way to the finals for the chance to be featured in a fall advertising campaign for the famous clothing company.

Geary is one of 20 finalists selected from thousands across North America in the Gap’s Casting Call contest. She is the only finalist from Alberta and one of four from Canada. She is the daughter of Aisha Geary and stepdaughter of Michael Arnault.

A panel of Gap judges selected 10 babies/toddlers (ages four and under) for the BabyGap campaign and 10 children (ages five to 12) for the GapKids campaign. The four winners (one boy and one girl in each category) will be featured in a Gap marketing campaign, a $1,000 Gap gift card, a $10,000 grant in their name from the Gap in Communities in Schools.

The winners will be determined through public voting starting on Monday. The winners will be announced at the end of July. To vote, visit www.gap.com/castingcall or the Gap on Facebook and the Gap Casting Call application for iPhone or Android phone. Voters can vote once a day, every day until Friday.
