A crew from Bettenson’s Sand and Gravel Co. Ltd. demolishes the former Central Alberta Florists building at 5156 43rd St. on Wednesday.
The site is being prepared for the construction of an eight-storey office building designed for medical and other health-related tenants, including Red Deer’s orthopedic surgeons.
Slated to be called Skyway Professional Centre, it will have more than 112,000 square feet and is being designed for the possible addition of four more floors and a pedway to the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre.
The developer is CAPP Investments Ltd. and the general contractor will be Timcon Construction (1988) Ltd.
