Lawyers are reviewing a psychiatric assessment report on a man accused of killing his brother.

Lawyers are reviewing a psychiatric assessment report on a man accused of killing his brother.

John Wayne Mock, 34, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder after police were sent to investigate a 911 hangup call on Feb. 22.

Consort RCMP allege that they found the body of Mock’s brother, 33-year-old Timothy James Mock, upon their arrival at a rural residence north of Consort.

Mock was in Red Deer provincial court for a brief appearance on Monday and remains in custody.

He returns to court on June 29 to give Crown and defence time to examine the psychiatric report.
