A man arrested during an undercover drug operation in Red Deer last spring will go to trial early next year.

Charges were laid against Jordan Hoelscher, 29, after drugs, cash and drug paraphernalia were seized from a vehicle early on May 3, 2011.

Police allege that Hoelscher and another man were seen completing an exchange inside a pickup truck parked on 76th Street, just off of Gaetz Avenue.

Charges of possession of drugs for trafficking were reduced to simple possession and the remaining charges were discharged during a preliminary hearing held in Red Deer provincial court on Feb. 24.

Hoelscher goes to trial on Jan. 11, 2013.
