Maskwacis RCMP says a 29-year-old man has been arrested following a "serious assault" at a residence in Ermineskin Cree Nation.
Police responded to the 911 call on May 1. As officers arrived at the property, the alleged attacker fled in an SUV. A pursuit continuted into Samson Cree Nation, where police deployed a tire deflation device and eventually immobilized the SUV.
The driver, who was already wanted by police in relation to other incidents, was arrested and found to be in possession of a shotgun and a significant quantity of ammunition, according to RCMP.
