A treatment for people with multiple sclerosis will be the focus of a public meeting at the Red Deer hospital on Tuesday (Feb.2) at 7 p.m.

A treatment for people with multiple sclerosis will be the focus of a public meeting at the Red Deer hospital on Tuesday (Feb.2) at 7 p.m.

Dr. Jacqueline Bakker, neurologist at Central Alberta Multiple Sclerosis Clinic, will present — What we know so far about Chronic Cerebrospinal Venous Insufficiency.

The procedure, developed by Italian researcher Dr. Paolo Zamboni, has made headlines in recent months.

The information session will discuss the procedure, what doctors know about it to date, and proven MS treatments.

The session, to run in the Dana Soltes Auditorium, is geared to MS patients and their families.
