Search teams have located a 32-year-old oilfield worker reported missing two days ago from a job site near Rimbey.

Ian Mahon, originally from Regina, was found on foot, some distance from the rig, at about 2 p.m. on Monday, said Sgt. Patrick Webb, an RCMP media relations officer. Mahon had been living in Rimbey at the time of his disappearance.

Webb said he doesn’t have much detail about Mahon’s condition, only that he is alive and well and had been airlifted to hospital in Rimbey.
