With his classmates looking, on Simon Deditch lays on the ground during a mock accident demonstration at Mattie McCullough Elementary School in Red Deer on Monday morning. As part of NAOSH Week (National American Occupational Safety and Health) activities, the elementary school children saw up close what happens when a child is hit by a motor vehicle. Medics from HSE Integrated and the RCMP participated in the event demonstrating the dangers of the road and to show the students what emergency services do at the scene of a collision.
