Police arrest theft suspects

Charges are pending against two males caught rummaging through unlocked vehicles early Monday in the Anders neighbourhood in Red Deer. At about 2:15 a.m. city RCMP responded to a complaint that two young males were observed going through vehicles on Austin Drive, Alberts Close and Argent Close. Police patrolled the area and one of the RCMP canine units tracked the suspects to a yard of a residence on Alberts Close. A 17-year-old and an 18-year-old were taken into custody. Police seized money and property from the suspects, and are continuing their investigation.
