A 63-year-old Red Deer man returns to court in mid-September to enter a plea on a sex assault charge.
Thomas Paul Ganger will appear in Red Deer provincial court on Sept. 15 after his plea was reserved on Tuesday.
Ganger was charged following an incident in which a young adult male was allegedly assaulted on Jan. 21. The information was sworn on July 22.
Ganger is the former chairman of the 1998 Alberta Winter Games, which were held in Red Deer.
