Red Deer City RCMP have finished their investigation into the recent deaths of two elderly Sunnybrook residents and will not be releasing any further information.
“We’re not looking for anybody. Our case is closed,” said RCMP Cpl. Kathe DeHeer on Wednesday.
“This is an extremely unfortunate set of circumstances. A true tragedy.”
On Sunday at 9:15 a.m., police were called to a Salisbury Avenue address after a deceased woman, 93, and man, 89, were discovered by family members.
An autopsy was completed on Tuesday.
DeHeer said the family is devastated and police will not be releasing details or names of the deceased.
