BASHAW — A man facing an outstanding arrest warrant in the theft of a truck and a quad from an Alberta farmer has contacted police.

Nick Dewald, 22, of Alix, was charged Tuesday with theft and possession of stolen property.

RCMP say Dewald has advised them he is working outside Alberta and plans to return at the end of the summer to clear up the outstanding warrant.

Two other men have also been charged in the farmyard theft last month near Bashaw.

Harold Groening, 31, of Mirror, and Kyle Rosenthal, 23, of Alix are to appear in court Thursday.

Brian Knight, the farmer who was stolen from, faces several criminal charges for allegedly shooting the person who took off with his quad.
