Red Deer City RCMP have arrested a man who was wanted on a variety of charges.
At about 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Red Deer City RCMP found Johnston in a residence in Red Deer County. He was arrested without incident.
On Feb. 17, police issued a statement asking for public’s help in tracking down 32-year-old William Russell Sonny Johnston, who had 12 Alberta-wide warrants out for his arrest.
Johnston was wanted on various alleged offences including assault, uttering threats, harassing phone calls, mischief and fraud.
Johnston was remanded into custody and is to appear in Red Deer provincial court today.
