Red Deer City RCMP are investigating the suspicious death of a 58-year-old man who was found in a multi-family dwelling in Riverside Meadows on Christmas Day.
Red Deer City RCMP say they were asked on Christmas Day to check on a man by a family member who lived out of town. The officers found the man deceased.
An autopsy was conducted on Tuesday and there was no definite cause of death.
Red Deer City RCMP general investigation section continue to investigate the death as suspicious.
RCMP media liaison Cpl. Kathe Deheer said the death is being treated as suspicious until the medical examiner rules it is not suspicious.
Deheer said a family member had been trying to reach his father for several days.
The name of the deceased is not being released until the of next of kin is notified.
