RCMP seize crack cocaine, OxyCodone

The Red Deer City RCMP GIS Crime Reduction Team seized crack cocaine, Oxycodone, cash, drug and trafficking paraphernalia from a home in south Red Deer resulting in the arrest of a 56-year-old Red Deer man.

The drug unit is still counting the take and could not estimate a street value.

Around 1 a.m. on Wednesday, the crime squad executed a search warrant in a basement suite at the 4100 block of 39 Street. A man was in the suite at the time and was arrested without incident. He was later released and faces no charges. Another male resident was in police custody before the search and remains in custody.

Kenneth Davis of Red Deer is charged with one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking and one count of trafficking a controlled substance. He is scheduled to appear in Red Deer provincial court on July 20.
