Red Deer College has earned four awards for outstanding marketing at community and technical colleges in its region.

Red Deer College has earned four awards for outstanding marketing at community and technical colleges in its region.

RDC received gold awards in Class Schedule for its RDC Series Summer School of the Arts schedule; and in Color Publications for its Case for Support — Creating Our Future Together publication.

RDC got a silver award in Promotional Campaign for its You’ve Got Guts spring recruitment campaign, and a bronze award for its Annual Report (2009-2010).

The awards are based on the quality and effectiveness of design and the message they communicate to specific audiences.

“To be recognized with these awards is an honour and tells us we’re communicating in a way that resonates,” said Joyce Fox, director of marketing, communication and student recruitment at Red Deer College.

The Medallion Awards are hosted by the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations District 7. They are the only regional competition of its kind that honour excellence among marketing and PR professionals at two-year colleges.

The awards are presented in 26 categories in a region that includes colleges in Alberta, B.C. Saskatchewan, Yukon, Alaska, Montana, Oregon and Washington.
