The Red Deer Home Show is set to return this weekend.

BILD (Building Industry and Land Development) Central Alberta will host the annual event at Westerner Park from Friday, March 8 to Sunday, March 10. There will be more than 190 exhibitors and 350-plus booths filling three pavilions.

“The 2024 Red Deer Home Show is almost here and we are beyond excited. This year we have had amazing support from exhibitors, sponsors and the community to highlight the home building industry in a fun and interactive environment,” said Chris Windrim, BILD Central Alberta executive director.

“This event is a showcase to the innovation and expertise that Central Alberta has within the residential construction industry. We invite everyone to join us for a weekend of discovery and inspiration.”

The Red Deer Home Show has been held in the community since 1979. The host, BILD Central Alberta, is a nonprofit organization with a regional membership comprised of new home builders, land developers, trades, suppliers, building material manufacturers and professional service companies involved in some aspect of home building.

Exhibitors will be on hand to display their products and services at the event. Attendees can explore a range of exhibits, from interior design and landscaping to roofing and energy-efficient solutions.

“Ask the Experts Booth featuring skilled professionals to give you the answers that you are looking for,” a BILD Central Alberta media release states.

“Whether it’s a DIY home improvement project or understanding the fundamentals of sustainable building, these professionals cater to individuals with varying levels of expertise.”

The Red Deer Home Show also aims to serve as a “hub for networking opportunities, fostering connections between industry professionals, exhibitors and attendees,” the media release added.

“It provides an ideal environment for collaboration and the exchange of ideas within the Central Alberta home building community.”

The event will also feature activities for the entire family, including Home Building Centre belt sander races, Tiny Home by Tree Hugger, the Refresh Lounge, and the Family Fun Zone, which features facepainting and bouncy castles.

Admission to the 2024 Red Deer Home Show is $12 for adults, $10 for students and seniors, and free for anyone under 12 years old. The event will be open from noon to 8 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
