Red Deer has been nominated as the ultimate fishing town in a contest being put on by the World Fishing Network, which is North America’s only 24-hour fishing lifestyle network.
The winning community will receive $25,000 to be used for fishing-related causes and have a 30-minute feature show about fishing in their town. There is also more than $7,500 in secondary prizes.
People can upload stories, photos and videos until Aug. 16 to prove Red Deer’s worthiness as the ultimate fishing town and vote for Red Deer on the website. To find out more, go to www.wfn.tv/fishingtown.
The World Fishing Network was launched in 2005 and it is the only 24-hour, seven-day-a-week network featuring fishing tips, tournaments and travel.
