A 21-year-old Red Deer man was arrested after police found a bullet proof vest and cocaine in his residence.
RCMP with a search warrant were checking the man’s residence about 2:20 p.m. April 20 to check that he was complying with court-ordered release conditions, including a curfew.
The man was arrested after allegedly breaching his curfew on April 15.
The RCMP Crime Reduction Team and Street Team were involved in the home search and also found prescription medication, alcohol and a cellphone.
Brent Cyr has been charged with three counts of breach of a release recognizance, in relation to an October 2009 Calgary Police Service investigation.
Cyr was released on bail and is scheduled to appear in Red Deer provincial court Friday April 30.
