RCMP presence remained in the Highland Green area on Wednesday afternoon where police were on the lookout for a suspect.
At 7:11 a.m., Red Deer RCMP alerted the public they were tracking a suspect in the 5100 block of 62nd Street, specifically around the Wedgewood Gardens apartment complex.
At 1:34 p.m. RCMP said the suspect had not been located and officers left the 62nd Street block and the apartment, but police resources would remain in the area for the ongoing operation.
"We acknowledge that increased police presence can be concerning, there is no immediate concern for public safety," RCMP said in a statement.
