First-time volunteer Donna Collier makes her way along the west bank of the Red Deer River, south of 67th Street bridge, as part of the Annual Red Deer River Clean-up. About 100 volunteers spent about three hours each cleaning up one-kilometre sections of riverbank. Suzanne Jubb, city community and program facilitator, said that the Clean-Up is another piece of the Green Deer puzzle, because it encourages people to clean up near the river, which is an important part of the city.
