Red Deerians planted sixty-four Palestinian flags in the flower beds at City Hall Park on Friday.

"These flags represent the more than 40,000 Palestinians killed by Israel since October 7," stated a Red Deer for Palestine media release.

"Red Deer for Palestine urges those at City Hall and all Red Deerians to stand against Israel's genocidal actions immediately. We must demand an immediate ceasefire and freedom for Palestine. The occupation must end."

Red Deer for Palestine has been hosting rallies each Sunday on the corner of Gaetz Avenue and 19 Street for a number of months. The next rally will be held this upcoming Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
