The City of Red Deer is launching another summer of fun and games in neighbourhood parks.
The popular Meet Me at the Park drop-in recreation program is returning from July 2 to Aug. 30 with a wide range of fun-filled activities for all ages.
With the aims of bringing the community together, fostering a sense of belonging, encouraging physical movement and social interaction, Meet Me at the Park offers sports, arts and crafts and nature-focused activities.
"We are delighted to bring back Meet Me at The Park to Red Deer for another exciting season," said Georgia Major, Community & Program Facilitator at The City of Red Deer. "It's a fantastic way to promote a healthy and vibrant community."
The program is run by trained staff and backed by various local partners, agencies, and community associations that are "passionate about creating a strong and connected Red Deer." The program is a collaborative effort between the City of Red Deer’s Safe and Healthy Communities Department and various local organizations.
The Meet Me at the Park schedule fort this summer is as follows:
- July 2-5 at Eastview Estates, 120 Ellenwood Drive
- July 8-12 at St Lorenzo School, 150 Kingston Drive
- July 15-19 at Don Campbell Elementary School, 99 Irving Crescent
- July 22-26 at Clearview Meadows, 93 Cornett Drive
- July 29 - Aug 2 in Mountview/Sunnybrook at 4316 32 Street
- Aug 6-9 in Normandeau at 49 Noble Avenue
- Aug 12-16 in Morrisroe East at 35 McLean Street
- Aug 19-23 in Oriole Park at 5 Ogden Avenue
- Aug 26-30 in West Park at 3811 57 Avenue
