Red Deer’s Reginald Schultz celebrated another milestone birthday over the weekend.

Schultz celebrated his 104th birthday on Sunday and is believed to be the oldest male living in Red Deer. Mayor Ken Johnston, who was in attendance Sunday, said he plans to attend a woman’s 105th birthday later this summer.

About 70 people attended Schultz’s birthday gathering on Sunday, featuring a piper and gifts from the Calgary Highlanders, the regiment he served with during World War II.

Schultz was born in Bashaw on Feb. 11, 1920.
