A man charged in the armed robbery of a Rocky Mountain House fast food outlet reserved his plea Wednesday.

John Dean McNee, 24, returns to Rocky provincial court on Feb. 3 to enter a plea on a charge of robbery with a firearm.

He was charged shortly after the Jan. 8 heist at the Tim Hortons on Rocky’s south side at 2:20 a.m.

Police said earlier a man walked into the business and reportedly ordered a coffee. When the employee returned with the drink, the man pointed a small black gun and demanded she open the till.

The man grabbed a number of bills and fled in a vehicle.
