Nurse Marta Boulton inserts the needle while Centennial Rotarian Margie Hansma looks on in the first ever Rotary Blood Drive Tuesday. Canadian Blood Services and the Rotary Clubs of Red Deer have partnered to launch the blood drive. The Challenge will run from May 11 to May 15 and is a friendly competition between the four Red Deer Rotary chapters to see which one can bring in the most blood donors and save the most lives. Along with setting a leadership example, it is hoped the members will bring in at least 50 units of blood.
