Safe Harbour Society is searching for a new executive director to lead the non-profit organization.
The job posting went up on social media on Saturday, and the deadline to apply is May 30.
In August 2024, Perry Goddard took on the job after long-time executive director Kath Hoffman retired.
Previously, Goddard was the director of guest support and empowerment at The Gathering Place in Conception Bay South, N.L., an organization that focuses on wrap-around support for people experiencing homelessness.
Safe Harbour runs an emergency shelter and a medically supported detox, as well as providing housing services, Indigenous support, and outreach and diversion teams.
The organization said on Facebook that is looking for a dynamic and visionary executive director to lead Safe Harbour into its next chapter of growth and impact.
Safe Harbour is looking for someone with a minimum of five to seven years of executive leadership experience in non-profit management, along with experience in program development, management, financial stewardship, and a strong understanding of homelessness, addictions, and mental health issues.
The executive director, who will report directly to the society's board of directors, must also possess expertise in strategic decision-making and a proven ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
