Help turn black and white murals into vividly coloured pieces of art while raiding funds for local charities. Parkland Mall will host Shades of Ambition from Friday to March 13 to help raise money for the Red Deer Food Bank, Julietta’s Place and the Red Deer SPCA. Customers are invited to purchase a coloured piece of one of the three murals representing the charity of their choice for $5. The coloured pieces will be added to the three black and white murals on display at the mall. Each mural is 1.8 metres by 1.2 metres and is made up of 864 pieces. Those who purchase $25 or more worth of mural pieces will receive a charitable receipt. Parkland Mall will donate $7,500 to the charity that raises the most funds, $5,000 to the runner up and $2,500 to the charity that comes in third.
