A volunteer construction crew, comprised of staff members from Red Deer’s Home Depot store, come to the rescue of the Central Alberta Women’s Emergency Shelter on Tuesday. The shelter was beginning to run out of storage space and the Home Depot volunteers, along with donated materials and tools, showed up to remedy the situation by building some shelving inside the shelter and a 10’x14’ storage shed, along with landscaping on the north side of the building. It was expected that everything would be completed within two days.
