Several major downtown Red Deer roads will be closed for several hours Tuesday evening as the Biggest Tree Festival and Christmas Parade rolls out.
The closure will begin at 4:30 p.m. and run until 8 p.m.
Ross Street will be closed between 47th Avenue and 48th Avenue from 4:30 p.m. until 7 p.m.
Meanwhile, 48th Avenue will be closed between 49th Street and Ross Street from 6:15 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Spectators are reminded that parking is free downtown after 5 p.m.
Drivers are encouraged to avoid Ross Street during this time and to slow down when negotiating construction areas.
