Students stay silent

More than 30 Caroline teens chose not to talk at school for a special cause recently. Caroline School’s Students Promoting the Environment and Acceptance through Knowledge group stayed silent in recognition of children around the world whose voices are not heard. In co-ordination with Free the Children’s Vow of Silence Day, the junior/senior high students wanted to raise awareness about the atrocities that children suffer in the world.

The group wants to make a difference in the world since returning from the Vancouver Peace Summit and the National Me to We conference in Vancouver in September. The entire school is also working on community “compassion” projects including putting together Christmas hampers.
