Red Deer city RCMP are requesting the public’s help in locating a person responsible for throwing a beer bottle in a bar on Dec. 5 that struck a man in the face.
Const. Chris Kosack of city police said on Wednesday that the assault occurred about 1:30 a.m. in the Billy Bob’s tavern in the Capri Hotel Centre.
The victim was in the pool table area when struck. He fell to the floor when hit.
The suspect male was then removed from the bar by security staff.
The victim was taken to Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre and treated for his injuries.
Police weren’t called to the incident but were contacted later in the afternoon about the assault.
