Suspect sought in Normandeau area hotel robbery

Police said on Monday that at about 11:10 p.m., a lone male entered the Super 8 Motel located in the 7400 block of Gaetz Avenue and demanded cash from the front desk clerks.

Const. Chris Kosack said the clerks complied with the demand and the culprit then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect had his face concealed with a scarf, police said.

The man is described as being 1.78 to 1.83 metres (five feet 10 inches to six feet) tall and weighing between 80 to 85 kg (175 to 185 pounds). He wore a black hooded sweater and had rose-coloured glasses.
