Sylvan Lake’s Polar Dip and WinterFest lake activities on the weekend have been postponed due to the cold weather forecast for Saturday.

Environment Canada is forecasting -20 C and a windchill of -29 for Saturday.

The Polar Dip and lake festivities have been rescheduled for March 5 and will be combined with the town’s annual Pond Hockey Tournament.

Fireworks will still proceed at the Sylvan Lake Pier on Saturday at 8 p.m.

All indoor activities will also continue as previously scheduled on Saturday, such as the Movie Marathon, the Farmer’s Market, the Archives Open House, Best Body Fitness Toonie Rocky Climbing, and the Lions Pancake Breakfast.

The Free Family Swim at the Aquatic Centre and Cabin Fever will also be held as planned on Monday.
