Two men face drug charges

Two Red Deer men were charged with crack cocaine possession after their minivan failed to stop at a red light on Monday afternoon.

Two Red Deer men were charged with crack cocaine possession after their minivan failed to stop at a red light on Monday afternoon.

At about 1:30 p.m., Red Deer City RCMP saw drugs inside the vehicle.

Both occupants were arrested without incident.

Jesse Sumner, 26, was charged with possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime. He was released from custody and is to appear in Red Deer provincial court on April 21.

James Clark, 46, was charged with possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime and obstructing a police officer. Clark remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in Red Deer court on April 11.
