Alberta Workplace Health and Safety is investigating after two employees doing work in the Burnt Lake Industrial Park on Friday afternoon had to be taken to hospital.
Janice Schroeder, a spokesperson with Alberta Workplace Health and Safety, said at this point what they understand is that two workers were trying to get a pipe joint apart. She said while they were doing the work one of the workers was struck by the pipe wrench and was thrown off balance.
Both workers were taken to hospital.
The company where the employees work and the extent of their injuries isn’t known at this point.
