Red Deer city council gave a boy a standing ovation after his video presentation on Monday.
Grade 6 student Cory Green of Eastview Middle School compiled a 15-minute video about Red Deer’s nine famous Ghost sculptures when he was in Grade 4. The voice for the sculptures was done by Green’s uncle and guardian Brad Howe, who along with his wife Krista, was killed by a drunk driver in Red Deer earlier this year.
Meanwhile, a 10th “ghost” depicting Red Deer’s history will be created to sit outside Sorensen Station parkade and transit terminal. Interested individuals have until Dec. 17 to apply through www.reddeer.ca/culture. Finalists will present their proposals to a jury on Feb. 14.
